AaronJB
Welcome to Betterbidding. :)There is no way to guarantee a particular hotel on either service; both discount services are more about getting a hotel for a discount rather than a specific hotel, although you may get lucky and get both a hotel you're looking for and a deal. Please provide the exact date/s of travel and we would be happy to take a look - additionally, please confirm the star rating of both HOTWIRE listings.Thank you for using the site's HOTWIRE or PRICELINE links to start your purchases and searches. jamaholic
Hi there thanks for the reply! The exact dates are from April 2 to April 6. I do understand that it's not for specific hotels but I'd like to see if I could aim either one or the other... In this case whats the closest I can get? I only want five star hotels which is what I put for the criteria for Hotwire. Any tips would help, thanks! Link to comment
thereuare
Please start by reading your messagesFor the HOTWIRE hotels above, the Strip North property is a match for the Trump while the Strip South property is a match for the Aria, so these would be my best guess for each. Please use the PRICELINE and HOTWIRE links on the board to begin your travel purchases.Let us know what you decide and how it goes or if we can be of further help. jamaholic
thanks thereuare! Is there anyway for me to get other hotel options for Hotwire? I.e. by re-doing the search would the system give me another hotel? If not is there anything else I can do? Thanks! Link to comment
thereuare
You can try changing your search parameters to 2adults/2children or 4adults/0children, as this can sometimes bring about different offers, but it also often increases the price. Please use the PRICELINE and HOTWIRE links on the board to begin your travel purchases... and your searches too! Thanks. jamaholic
hmmm I did try but it seems like the same "hotel" still comes up even if I changed the parameters. I have 6 adults and 2 kids in total and are booking three rooms. So I can't just book them individually right? I mean what if I get them allocated in different hotels and stuff? It also seems like Wynn and Bellagio aren't really options as the description for the hotel remains the same. Also I am not able to get a Vegas Strip North hotel with a casino (because then I know I'd have higher chances of getting a hotel that I want). And I did the search again with 6 adults and 2 kids but Strip South isn't even an option now (only strip North is available). Please let me know what else I could do. Your help is greatly appreciated! Link to comment
Romelle
Hotwire can change its offerings very frequently. I've seen several different offerings in the same day. I was watching a couple different cities, but no reason to think Las Vegas any different.Have you actually checked the hotel rates on their sites? Sometimes those prices can actually be better than one can get via bidding. There are links to quite a few of the hotels via the Las Vegas Checker under Tools. There also are more direct links on the Support Page. Romelle Link to comment
thereuare
And I did the search again with 6 adults and 2 kids...Did you also try 3rooms/6adults/6children? As well as 3rooms/12adults/0children?If neither of these changes the offering for the zone you're looking for there isn't anything you else can do to 'force' a specific hotel to be offered.Assuming you want all rooms to be at the same hotel it's not advisable to make one purchase at a time, as the same hotel may not be offered for the subsequent purchases. Please use the PRICELINE and HOTWIRE links on the board to begin your travel purchases.
