Hotwire Hotel: Help Atlanta 12/30-1/1/12(2 rooms)

Normally bid Priceline but since looking for 2 beds each room will go with Hotwire this time.

Will be there for bowl game (Georgia Dome) on 12/31.Ideally would like to be in downtown area since its a short stay and would like to be closer to action.

It seems hotels in the downtown area which normally are cheaper are hard to find and expensive.

If cant find a room in downtown would like a hotel on/close to Marta rail.

Budget for downtown/midtown hotels which it seems may be close to Dome or Marta around $100/night

I do see few hotels in perimeter area also

4 star $55/night(recommended by 85%)

Smoke Free Rooms ,fitness center,Pool,Business center,High speed internet,Tennis,Restaurant

Another one in perimeter area (rec 80%)

similar amenities to above except no tennis

Do we know what could be a match for these?Could consider if public transport is convenient from perimeter area.

Of course, hotel rooms/rates are supply/demand driven and you're in town for not only a bowl game, but it's New Year's Eve as well.

Since you need two beds, how many adults/children are you including on your HOTWIRE search? As HOTWIRE only shows one hotel at each star level in each zone, what is the star rating of the 'other' hotel you see in the Perimeter zone? Please re-run your HOTWIRE search for quad occupancy and confirm that each of the above hotels are still appearing, and list the details of each. (listing the full details of each... not using "same as but an extra 'x' amenity but not the 'y' amenity... it makes researching the offers much easier)

I did my search for 3 adults and 1 child in each room

same hotels are appearing(the second one is a 3.5 star)

There is another hotel in Druid hill/Clairmont area(3 star) for $ 72/night(druid hill is about 4 miles from downtown area)-listed amenities for that include complimentary breakfast,business center,high speed internet access)85% approval rating
