ande8150
Reporting a win for Priceline: $120 + 7.20 in bonus cash = $127.20 for Miami Downtown. 11/1 - 11/6/2011Previous bids were 90, 100, 110.Won the "Tempo Miami". This hotel needs to be added to the Priceline Hotel List for downtown. It wasn't listed. The cheapest rate on their website is $329. Great price! Also previously tried for the same dates and didn't win: Miami Beach (up to $190) and North Miami Beach (up to $170)Used the PRICELINE link before all bids. Thanks bb.com! Link to comment

Froufie
But as per a previous thread I understand the Tempo charges a $30 resort fee which would have to be paid at the hotel upon check-in I presume? Link to comment
AaronJB
Yes, there is a $30 resort fee listed on Hotels.com and other travel websites. Resort fees are paid at check-in. Link to comment
hopeland
Looks like the resort fee covers parking, internet access, spa/pool access among other things. All of those things you would have to pay for separately at the Intercontinental, and would total a lot more than $30. Link to comment
ande8150
Yes, I am at the hotel now and was notified of the fee at check-in as a valet parking charge, and internet is free. I doubt you will stay at many 4* hotels in Miami that won't charge for parking and internet in that range. Link to comment

Froufie
So does that mean this is not a 'resort' fee but a parking fee? If you don't require parking would the fee be waived? Glad to hear the internet is free! Link to comment
thereuare
It's almost certainly a Resort fee, which includes valet parking, internet access, and a few other miscellaneous items. Please use the PRICELINE and HOTWIRE links on the board to begin your travel purchases. Please use this HOTWIRE and these PRICELINE LINKS: HOTELS, CAR RENTALS, and AIRFARE to begin your travel purchases Link to comment

Glad to hear the internet is free!I did not ask if it was optional, as I had a car that I needed to park. You would need to ask the hotel. It does show up on the bill as a parking fee.
