srock
Wife was looking for a hotel near the VA hospital, which is close to downtown. Most hotels in the area were fully booked this time period. Went onto Hotwire and saw they were listing a 4 star downtown for $73 with amenities that suggested it was University Place. Figuring I could get a slightly better deal on Priceline, I used the PRICELINE link, bidding $60/night for a 4 star in the downtown area. Got the University Place on the first bid. So I probably could have started my bidding at a lower price since there are a number of free rebidding zones for Indianapolis at the 4 star level. Still this is a great deal as the regular rate is more than double what I paid. Parking is not free, however.Room: $60/night for 4 nights $240Taxes/Fees: $50.04Total: $290.04 Link to comment
