I would really appreciate some bidding tips for New York City.

In: 9 November

Out: 13 November

I've already tried a combination of areas and prices (up to $139) but yet no luck.

I'm not particularly fussy on where we stay, price is most important.

Unfortunately, this is a difficult period in NYC (as is most of October through mid-December) and rates are high-very high throughout this time.

What would be your desired max budget per night? Desired zones/star ratings? Which zones/star ratings/prices have you bid at so far?

We are hoping to get something under $150 per night.

I have tried Times Square, South Central Park, Mid West, Upper East, Upper West and Soho/Financial District.

I've tried from 3 star up to 5 star so far.

This is an expensive time of year in NYC and $139 is not likely going to be enough for a 3* hotel... based upon current rates you're probably looking at $150-$175 to be successful for this nite.

Well, that would be on the very low end of the range, but if you'd like we can give it a try...

However, before bidding, i have a question regarding the zone(s) you're willing to accept:

TS, CPS, MTW, UES, UWS, DT

As the 3.5* and under the CPS has the Hudson Hotel which is nice enough except for the extremely small rooms, would this be an acceptable outcome?

Also, note that both UES and UWS go fairly far North, which is not typically the most convenient for the average visitor, are both of these accepable?

Is there a reason you're not including ESB and/or MSG in your bidding? Are you not including MTE due to the possible 15 minute walk to the subway?
