hflynn
Hi, I have been bidding on Priceline over the past few days looking for a 4star or Resort in the Scottsdale area. I have bid up to and including $225, With no offers. Does this mean that there are no hotels available? or I am I not bidding high enough? Link to comment
yellowdog
Welcome to BetterBidding!Rates are very high for your dates. Is there anything special going on? We usually don't see rates this high for Scottsdale. I think that the PRICELINE opaque inventory is very limited (if any) and this is your problem. But HOTWIRE got 4* inventory below your highest bid.Would you be ok with a HOTWIRE 4* $161/night + tax/fee?Please use the PRICELINE and HOTWIRE links on the board to begin your travel purchases.Yellowdog. jman1975
I'm staying in the Phoenix area during that same time frame, my winning bid was more than 2 times what I spent 2 years ago...for some reason that last week in March is super busy with the end of spring break + MLB spring training wrapping up Link to comment
thereuare
hflynn,Are you only bidding the Scottsdale zone or are other nearby zones, such as North Scottsdale, acceptable as well?At first look it appears the first 3 nites of your stay are much more expensive then the last 3 nites of your stay, is SPLITTING YOUR PRICELINE BID an option?Have you tried HOTWIRE at all? Although they use different zone boundaries and star ratings, they do have some 4* properties in this area within your budget. Please use the PRICELINE and HOTWIRE links on the board to begin your travel purchases.
