Charleston is where we finally caught up on our three-week roadtrip's original schedule, after British Airways botching our flights and redirecting us (a day late) to Atlanta instead of DC. They claim bad weather (force majeure), but I know for a fact that Dulles remained fully operational during that particular blizzard, and ALL other flights from ALL major European airports were operating to IAD that day, at least according to Flightstats... Still haven't heard back from BA regarding compensation - which they're obligated to pay, according to EU legislation.Charleston was a very beautiful, charming, old town, and Isle of Palms was very neat and clean - and peaceful, this time of the year!Cheers,Mikko.
