There was a cancelation fee of $19.00 if cancelled before April 17th. Total cost with fees was $316.14.I thought I'd try my luck with priceline for a four star hotel.....Bid $51 Downtown zone and immediately counter-offered with a bid of $66. Declined.2nd bid of $52, added French Quarter. Rejected.3rd bid of $53, added Garden District zone. Rejected4th bid of $54, added New Orleans East zone. Rejected5th bid of $55, added New Orleans Airport. Accepted. I got the same hotel as my backup but at a cheaper price! I have just cancelled the backup hotel booking.Your Offer Price Per Room, Per Night: $55.00 Subtotal: $220.00 Taxes & Fees: $43.40 Total Charges*: $263.40 After taking out the $19 cancellation fee through bookit.com, I saved around $34.
