mesports26
How did you win this bid? What category did you bid under? Did you know you would get the Marriott or what else did you think was possible? We are going early march and want a beach front hotel in palm beach. Any tips? Link to comment
chiburg
I bid the resort level. In looking at the previous posts, it seems that the Marriott is the most popular one that wins for this category in PRICELINE. The only other thing that I was a bit worried is getting the Rennaisance ... I think that is a 4*, but I think I saw one post that said it was a Resort - this resort is located by the city and not the beach.I would just keep trying the resort. Maybe start off at $130 and keep raising it? You still have time. I also noticed that HOTWIRE had a 4* for $200 and that was most likely the Renaissance. Either one I'd be happy with, but I was really pulling for the Marriott. Link to comment
mesports26
My fear is getting the renaissance. It is not by the beach and it is downtown. I really wouldn't want to be stuck at that hotel- especially since our friends are staying in palm beach. I would probably be the one stuck at the renaissance but the deals on the Marriott really seem great. Link to comment

It is a very nice property. In regards to "fearing" the Renaissance - no fears necessary. It is absolutely breathtaking property. Downtown, yes, but right on a beach as well. The Ren gives access to a private island with nice beaches. Motor launches will take you from the lobby (yes, the lobby) directly to the island. Link to comment
yitzie
The Marriott is a really beautiful place. If you are going to Aruba before April, I suggest you bid for your hotel right away. Its peak season now all nice hotels are mostly full and before they sell out they give priceline rooms even in peak season eventually they may not. Bid right away unless you want to pay an average of $400-$500 per night after taxes full price later on for any descent place. Link to comment
