I'm trying to bid on a hotel with Priceline or whatever, and save some money. I keep seeing people post things such as " won through better checker" . I have no idea what or where to find this?I found this http://www.betterchecker.com/ and typed in the date and then the hotel and it brings me to a list of hotel with links to the official page. Could anyone assisst me? Currently trying to get a room at Hilton San Diego Resort 1775 East Mission Bay Drive but dont have an idea how to do this.IE http://www.betterbidding.com/index.php?showtopic=118217& Link to comment
Romelle
Up at the top of this site under "Our Exclusive (Free) Tools:" is a link to BetterChecker. It lets you click on a whole bunch of different hotel brand names and check their rates. Always a good idea to check rack rates before bidding, as you then have a "cap" for your bidding. It is unusual, but in some cities, the rack rates (particularly specials) can be lower than one can obtain by bidding. Romelle Link to comment
Rdm
Is there a place on this forum that tells you what you should bid and what areas of the city you should click on to up the the hotel you want? I dont understand how knowing the rack rate helps? So I know the rate whats next when bidding? Link to comment
