rytran
I'm new to priceline and am looking for 3.5-4* hotels from 12/9-12/13. I'm willing to spend up $200 per night, is this feasible? I'm looking for any help or opinions for my hotel search. I'm willing to break up the dates and split between 3.5 and 4* hotels to get the lowest possible rates. Link to comment
thereuare
Welcome to BetterBidding! Are you willing to pay more for a 4* vs. a 3.5* OR is your goal the least expensive 3.5* or better?Note that while all the zones above are 'fine' (imo) at the 4* level, you need to be aware at the 3.5* level:MTE - some of the hotels are ~15 minute walk to the subway, would this be acceptable?CPS - includes the Hudson Hotel for which the reviews are decent except for notoriously small rooms (even by NYC standards)... would this outcome be acceptable? Also, given i suspect these dates are going to be somewhat pricey... have you considered adding the ESB zone at the 4* level? At the 3.5* level how about ESB and/or MGS? (and Chelsea?)Please use the PRICELINE and HOTWIRE links on the board to begin your travel purchases. rytran
I think my goal would be the least expensive 3.5* the better, I just didn't know the price benchmark and areas for these dates to achieve that.I don't mind adding the ESB, MGS, or Chelsea areas...I would want to avoid a 15 minute walk to the subway and super small rooms if at all possible.I definitely will be using the better bidding url for this purchase, thank you so much for your input. thereuare
So to confirm, you don't want to include MTE and CPS in your bidding and will add MSG, ESB and Chelsea? Making your parameters...A 3.5* or better hotel in the MTW, TS, MSG, ESB and Chelsea zones with a $200 maximum bid. Please confirm the above is correct and we'll suggest a strategy for you to follow. Thanks in advance for using the PRICELINE and HOTWIRE links on the board to begin your purchases.
