Thank you for the follow-up. Additionally, if you are looking for a quick bite to eat, if you exit the hotel at the Monroe entrance and walk half a block East to Monroe/Wabash, there is a Corner Bakery on the outside NE corner of the Palmer building (35 E Monroe) There are plenty of good options around Chicago, but that's a great choice a couple of steps from the hotel.

And for anyone coming across this thread in the future, the best parking option I've found thus far is the Millennium Park Garages East Monroe Garage. It is about .3 miles from the hotel and costs $23/24 hours, $39 for 25+ hours. Compare that to $51/day for the hotel valet or $38/24, $58 for 25+ hours at the self serve across the street.
