nrfsmum
Saw your 4 * list for Santa Monica. The Santa monica Beach Hotel is only one listed which is fine by us. Have no idea how much to bid. I'm new to PL and HW. Have never bid before. Are there other 4* we are unaware of ? How much is resaonable ?Thanks Link to comment
thereuare
Welcome to BetterBidding! Please read the first parapraph of the HOTEL LIST, particularly the first sentence regarding the completeness of the hotel lists. If you haven't done so already you may also want to read: I'VE NEVER USED PRICELINE or HOTWIRE.If you're willing to accept any 4* hotel in the zone, please include the dates of your stay and your maximum bid and we will suggest a strategy for you to follow. Thanks! nrfsmum
Hi,Thanks for your response. We are only looking for one nite on 3/3/05. As far as $$ is $100 too unrealistic ?Yes, we will definitely consider other 4* and understand that your list is not complete and we may end up somewhere else. Link to comment
thereuare
I'm doubtful that $100 will be enough for a 4* as we often see that much needed (and more) for a 3* in this zone. However, since you're new to priceline and have plenty of time bofore your stay, why don't you just try it with a $100 maximum bid as an 'exercise' of how it all works... maybe you'll get lucky. Before bidding you'll need to understand re-bidding which is explained here: PRICELINE RE-BIDDING. If you're not familiar with re-bidding, we encourage you to confirm your re-bid zones with the board before proceeding... you have 6 re-bid zones when bidding 4* in this area.Once you have your re-bid zones down, this is how i would proceed:Select 4* Santa MonicaBid $60, if rejected add re-bid zone and...Bid $70, if rejected add re-bid zone and...Bid $80, if rejected add re-bid zone and...Bid $85, if rejected add re-bid zone and...Bid $90, if rejected add re-bid zone and...Bid $95, if rejected add re-bid zone and...Bid $100.As i said, please confirm your re-bid zones with the board before bidding in order to reduce the chances of any mistakes.Any questions feel free to ask.
