AaronJB
In terms of PRICELINE, there is no way to know exactly what hotel you may get if you bid. The 3.5* hotels that have been reported as wins in the Skokie-Evanston-Niles zone are the Hotel Orrington in Evanston and the Doubletree in Skokie. It's hotels on HOTWIRE that you can sometimes identify before purchase, is there something there of interest? Please use the site's HOTWIRE or PRICELINE links to start your purchases and searches. Ande
thanks - I havn't used Priceline much because of that. There is a 3* Evanston/Skokie/Niles hotel with fitness, pool, restaurant, business center, high speed internet @ 52$/night/room. Holiday Inn or Doubletree in Skokie?thank Link to comment
AaronJB
The Orrington has gotten some mixed reviews in the past, although now that it is a Hilton it may improve. The problem would be that the Orrington charges for parking, but on the other hand it provides easy access (only a couple of blocks away) to CTA and Metra stations, as well as a wide variety of restaurants and stores. What are your date/s of travel?Thank you for using the site's HOTWIRE or PRICELINE links to start your purchases and searches. Ande
August 11 - 15. Do you think the 3* listing is the Orrington? We really want to be in Skokie rather than Evanston, so hoping it would be the Doubletree or Holiday Inn Link to comment
AaronJB
The Orrington was reported at the 4* (and 3.5* at one point level) on HOTWIRE, with a different amenity set. It has not been reported as a HOTWIRE win in quite a while. Additionally, the Orrington does not have a pool. This would likely be either the Holiday Inn Skokie or Doubletree.Thank you for using the site's HOTWIRE or PRICELINE links to start your purchases and searches.
