micheles
bid 35 gb pounds and was accepted immediately - having been refused numerous times for the same dates previously (sorry thereuare to have started a new thread but it is a new hotel) - was hoping for the hyatt but what the heckhad previously tried up to 41 gb pounds (to no avail - around $76) tonight unexpectedly successful at around $68we will have to move the next night to the hyatt - but never mind - it is a good rate - the hilton's web rate is $169 - so it can't be bad Link to comment
thereuare
(sorry thereuare to have started a new thread but it is a new hotel)This is actually what we prefer... and for the reasons stated! To explain (for others): when a user is seeking help, all posts go in the same thread, even if the dates change, different zones get added, switching back-and-forth between priceline and hotwire, etc, etc. The reason being is that it is for the same stay, so if the posts were all separated there would eventually be an 'unresolved' post since the stay would be 'completed' in another thread. However, once a hotel is won, a new post should be started for any remaining dates, since as you point out, a different hotel is often won, and even if the same hotel is won, the rates may be different than the previous dates. Keeping things as orderly as possible, or at least following some sort of system, i think is what helps makes the board so useful as the information can be easily found. It took awhile to realize what worked and what didn't, but the current approach has seemed to work well for us so far. As better ideas are suggested we'll continue to adapt. :) Thanks for sharing your win and have a great stay.PS- this is still 4* rated and in the (Revere - Logan Airport BOS) zone, correct? Please use this HOTWIRE and these PRICELINE LINKS: HOTELS, CAR RENTALS, and AIRFARE to begin your travel purchases Link to comment
