Priceline Hotel: 2.5* New Orleans (Downtown) Holiday Inn Downtown Superdome

I booked this on 5/27. But I have dilemma now.

I would prefer a hotel in the French Quarter. The original reservation was only for Downtown, but then we had a change of heart. So I called priceline and they said they would be willing to give me a "one time exception" with a $25 cancellation fee. So essentially, I would like to rebid with $61 in the french quarter but I'm not willing to go lower than 2.5 stars. Is this a feasible option less than one week away from the trip? I am really debating whether to just keep my hotel or just bite the bullet and try my luck with a new bid in the french quarter.

the most i'm willing to bid is $61. I would settle for 2.5* and be happy with a 3*. This would be in the FQ from 6/19 to 6/22. Thanks!

Please start a NEW TOPIC for this 'replacement' stay.

In your new post, please confirm that you would want to go up to your limit for a 3* first before lowering your star rating and trying for a 2.5* property.
