Priceline, first bid was for (Midtown) and (Downtown)- $45 REJECTED, but said to up offer by $12 to get a room

Next bid changed dates, $46, REJECTED

Next bid changed dates again $47, REJECTED

Next bid added (Perimeter) and $50, REJECTED

finally let it breathe for a while, came back, only bid on the (Downtown) zone AFTER looking at Hotwire for prices on specific star ratings in specific neighborhoods. Then used THIS FORUM'S really awesome list to do a process of elimination to narrow down the possibilities. I finally caved into the extra $12, even adding a dollar, (ugh), bid $58 and won...was sulking then felt great when I realized that I got the room for 78% lower than the listed price! :)

So:

Rate: $58

Subtotal: $116

Taxes and Fees: $24.92

Total Charges: $140.92

Would love to hear how your stay is as my boyfriend and I are staying there for one night next week from this priceline win (for our anniversary). We called the hotel directly to request a king room...and they referred us to PRICELINE. We contacted Priceline and Priceline told us they couldn't/wouldn't guarantee anything. I just don't want to end up in a queen room.
