Hi,

Just wondering if someone can help me out with bidding for a New York Hotel for the dates of 8/29/10 - 9/11/10

Tried bidding tonight with no success, basically looking for MTE, MTW, TS area.

Started at $130 with MTE, went up $140 and added MTW, went up $150 added TS and lastly went up to $155 adding CPS

Going to try again in 24 hours, but any assistance would be great!

Also used the PRICELINE link on betterbidding.com

I think you can improve upon your bidding strategy somewhat... which zones are you willing to accept and what is your maximum bid for this stay?

Let us know and we'll suggest a strategy for you to follow.

Thanks for using our PRICELINE and HOTWIRE links to begin your bidding/purchases.

At the moment i'm guessing that $170 won't be enough for this complete stay, but to give it a try...

At the 4* level in NYC you have SIX re-bid zones. If you're not familiar with re-bidding please read Priceline Re-Bidding Explained and feel free to ask questions and/or confirm your re-bid zones with the board before proceeding.

Right now, Roosevelt Hotel is showing a twitter special of $149/night. Sep 2 - 8, 2010 is available. You may wish to consider booking this hotel (secured with a credit card) as your back-up hotel until something better comes up.

Cancellation policy:

All reservations must be canceled by 4:00 PM at least 1 day prior to arrival date, in order to avoid a no show charge equal to 1 night's room rate, and applicable taxes.

Promo rate - SWEET

Verga - thanks so much for that piece of information.

Have tried bidding using the above strategy - even went down to 3.5* but still no luck

Used the PRICELINE link on this website the whole way through.

Might try again later but have booked the first half of the trip elsewhere.

Thank you for all the help!
