RaulZ
I'm looking for help in bidding on a four star hotel in the midtown east area of manhattan. Any help would greatly be appreciated. I'm looking to spend no more then 199.00. Also, this will be my first time to NYC so if there are any other areas with good 4 star rating in the upper manahattan area that i should look into please advise. My first choice would be the MTE side. I also have looked at hotwire and find a 4 star hotel in MTE with the following ammenties(fitness center, restaurant, internet access, tennis nearby) any clue on what it could be? Link to comment
RaulZ
Also willing to look into "TS,MTW,MTC" Link to comment
thereuare
Welcome to BetterBidding! Are you willing to pay more to stay in the MTE zone vs. the other zones OR is your goal the least expensive 4* in any of the zones you've listed above? For the HOTWIRE property... are you sure you have listed all the amenities above? (is there is a Business icon)Please use the PRICELINE and HOTWIRE links on the board to begin your travel purchases... and your searches too! Yes the listing from hotwire did have a business icon, sorry i left that out. Ii could also go for a 3 1/2 * with some good reviews behind it. I'm not looking to stay in the room much but would like a clean and comfy place to lay my head. :) Link to comment
AaronJB
The 4* MTE could possibly be the Intercontinental or the Grand Hyatt, although I'd lean towards the Intercontinental Barclay. Please use the site's HOTWIRE or PRICELINE links to start your purchases and searches. Link to comment

If so what would be a good strategy in my case to start bidding at? Link to comment
RaulZ
I went ahead and booked the rate with HOTWIRE for 173 and indeed it was the Intercontinental The Barclay. Thanks for the info your provided i believe this was a good rate after searching on various sites and i was under my budget for a 4 star hotel with good ratings. Thanks AgainRaul ZHouston,TX Link to comment

RaulZ
The Intercontinental Barclay was an awesome hotel. It could not have been a better stay for me and my wife. I also advised them that it was my anniversary and was upgraded to a better room. The hotel was in walking distance to the rockfeller plaza and tsquare. Thanks Link to comment
