Priceline Hotel: Resort San Juan Caribe Hilton

I recently got a pre-cruise reservation (2/26-2/27) at the Caribe Hilton ($119) through HOTWIRE. Using betterbidding as a tool I was fairly certain that I was getting the Caribe. Now I am looking to book another room on the back end of my cruise for 3/6-3/7 and it seems the 4* avaiable for that price on Hotwire right now, judging by the amenities, is the Conrad for ($119). Which hotel is better overall? I know the Conrad offers a Casino while the Caribe doesn't. Other than that, isn't this a great deal for this hotel?

Like almost all hotels in San Juan, the reviews for each are very mixed... there are some users who call each 'excellent' and other guests who feel each is 'terrible', sometimes it's hard to imagine that one review stayed at the same hotel as a previous reviewer.

The Conrad has been receiving much better reviews since their recent take over from this property, whereas i think the Caribe Hilton probably has a better pool and grounds.

I'd be fine with either and from what i know (i stayed at the Caribe Hilon about 5 years ago and the Condado Plaza almost 20 years ago when it was a Wyndahm) and read of each, would rate them fairly similarly.

Shatner hooked it up...My other post on HOTWIRE began with where my vacation begins and ends... The Caribe Hilton. I got the Caribe on HOTWIRE for $119 last week and held out to see if I could get a better deal on PRICELINE, and I did, for $90 and I'm psyched. For the past few days I've been locked out for 24 hour stretches even after playing with the system...I went all the way up to $120 w/out the Caribe biting...tonight, first shot..bagged it. For a total cost of $107 and change, this is an absolute steal. I also work for Mortons of Chicago, so I'll be starting off with a ridiculous dinner there the first evening...who knows what else...I'm just glad betterbidding.com was here to help me get these prices...thanks guys.
