thereuare
If you go back to HOTWIRE and click the CONTINUE button next to this offering and then click the "See all amenities" link under the icons, do you see more amenities than what you've listed above? Is $219/nite in your expected budget for this trip? Please use these PRICELINE and HOTWIRE links to begin your travel purchases. cha_charoni
$219 seems about right although I'm trying to get the best deal out there for the best value. Willing to spend more and definitely less if its better than what is out there for retail. If there's a proven strategy that can get me a better price on Priceline, I'm willing to do that as well.OKay, so it does show the following at $216.Resort Casino Fitness Center Pool(s) Restaurant(s) Business Center Laundry Facilities High-speed Internet Access Golf Nearby Tennis Nearby Spa Services Thanks! cha_charoni
Do you have any suggestions for a bidding strategy to get a 3.5*, 4* or resorts for PL in Aruba during the dates of 2/4-2/7? You have already mentioned that the Westin is probably the one that is showing up on Hotwire for $219 a night so I'd like to do better than that for something comparable or equal. Any advice is much appreciated. I have already tried bidding as low as $110 a night for Resort, 3.5* and 4* with no luck. Link to comment
thereuare
Please keep all posts for the same stay in the same thread... if you ultimately use PRICELINE we'll then move the entire thread to that section of the board.Given the Westin is Resort rated by PRICELINE, i'm not sure that bidding 3.5* (or even 4*) is going to get you something comparable... are you sure you want to bid bidding for less than Resort if you're looking for something equivalent to the Westin? Please use these PRICELINE and HOTWIRE links to begin your travel purchases. cha_charoni
I see what you mean. So basically by looking at the list, I would just need to increase my price every 24 hours until I find the bottom price for the Resorts category? Link to comment
thereuare
Yes, you would stick with the Resort level and with no re-bid zones continue to bid every 24 hours. However, while PRICELINE is usually cheaper than HOTWIRE, it's usually not that much cheaper... so with HOTWIRE at $219 i don't think $110 is likely very close. (atlhough there could be a hotel available thru priceline not offered thru hotwire)If you're willing to bid to go to $200+, i'd next try $130, if that is rejected wait 24 hours and try $150, then go up by $5-$10 every 24 hours thereafter until you reach your maximum bid (or decide to simply take the HOTWIRE offer)Please use these PRICELINE and HOTWIRE links to begin your travel purchases.Keep us updated and let us know how it goes or if we can be of further help along the way.
