Could anyone help me identify this hotel :

4* London in Westminster area :

109$/night for 2 people January 23-25 2010

Amenities listed on Hotwire :

Restaurant

Business Center

High-speed Internet Access

I went through your hotel list, but nothing seems to fit the amenities.

Any ideas?

I'm sorry to say that a 4* property with this amenitie combo has not yet been ID'd or reported to the board. And without any additional clues is this a difficult guess. It can be a new hotel or any of the reported hotels with a diffrent amenitie combo. I have tried to alternate your seach for any clue but without luck.

If you decide to book this property so please post the outcome.

Do you have any plan B?

I saw a few other options, still for the same dates :

- the $176 5* hotel in Mayfair-Soho, which I think is the Intercontinental, is the first one I had seen, but it's quite more expensive

- the $116 4* hotel in The City with Restaurant, Business Center and High-Speed Internet

=> any idea which one that could be?

Or then I could go down in the star rating, but seeing as the 4* is only $109, I'm not so fond of doing...

But I'm also considering that the price is so low I might end up in a not-so-good hotel after all.

I'm also a bit puzzled by this one :

$100 for a 2.5* in The City with no amenities mentioned

I'm wondering why this one is so much more expensive than the others, considering its star rating

Hotels set prices independently (taking into account their own profit margins and other aspects) and do not always look at what other higher/lower rated properties are setting their prices at.

My guess for the 4* The City would be the Hilton Islington or the Club Quarters Gracechurch.

I just saw today another hotel in London that looks interesting :

4*, The City - Financial District, $74

Amenities : Restaurant, Business Center, High-Speed Internet

Any idea as to which one it could be?

Judging from your list it could be the Club Quarters Gracechurch or the Hilton Islington.

Went for the 4* Westminster for $109 for 2 nights.

Total $257.86 with taxes.

It's the NH Jolly St Ermins.

Not the best reviews, and quite an old style, but very central.

Overall, a bit disappointed by the hotel, but pleased with the price and location.

Can't win everytime, right? ;-)
