sgilad
We are a family of 2 adults & 3 SMALL children. Is there any way to use PRICELINE or HOTWIRE bids while insuring that we get a large enough room? The best option would be a room with 2 queen beds. Link to comment
AaronJB
Welcome to the site. :)PRICELINE would definitely be not recommended for NYC in this case, as the rooms in NYC are frequently small (even in more upscale properties) and rooms with 2 beds are not as common as a result. I'd instead search on HOTWIRE for 2 adults/2 children. What are your dates of travel/budget per night? Please use the site's HOTWIRE or PRICELINE links. Link to comment

sgilad
We are traveling Oct. 19-22, we have children aged 3, 9 & 11. Our budget is $200-$230. Link to comment
AaronJB
I'd recommend the Salisbury Hotel; while it's not particularly glamorous - it's an older, smaller property - it gets EXCELLENT reviews (4.5/5 on tripadvisor.com) and is a good value in a GREAT location. Kitchenette, too.It would offer a larger 700 SQ FT 1BR suite. It is $319 for your dates on Expedia.com, but the 3rd night is free = average $213 per night. Additionally, coupon code 10SEP will take another $20 off the total.Again, not the most upscale, but a lot of space, kitchenette and great location. Please use the site's Expedia.com link if this is of interest. Link to comment

tenerifesharon
We spent 3 nights at the Salisbury last winter and were completely satisfied. As AaronJB has already said, although it isn't very luxurious, it's very centrally located on 57th Street(directly across the street from Carnegie Hall), and the suites are perfectly equipped for a family. Additionally, they offer (or did last February) a decent breakfast buffet for $4.00 per person -- a great deal in NYC. Link to comment
