yellowdog
I think that admin should run this post but i will get you started. You need to have have a firm amount of people and rooms and dates to start this operation. All bookings are non refundable and non cancellable. And you can't bid for 20 rooms at the same time and bidding in diffrent sessions can mean diffrent hotels. HOTWIRE maximum reservation is 6 rooms/per booking. How many rooms/adults/children did you search for on HOTWIRE? If you didn't search for the firm amount of people and rooms can i guarantee that you will get diffrent results next time you search. So we better wait with this until you have the correct information.Admin will join this and help you further.Good luck with everything and thanx for the confidence! Yellowdog. Link to comment
thereuare
Do all rooms need to be at the same hotel or would it be acceptable if the rooms were split between 2-3 different hotels? Please use this HOTWIRE and these PRICELINE LINKS: HOTELS, CAR RENTALS, and AIRFARE to begin your travel purchases Link to comment
Momma Joe
Do all rooms need to be at the same hotel or would it be acceptable if the rooms were split between 2-3 different hotels?Preferable if they were all at the same hotel....but I know that it is highly unlikely given the number of rooms required, i.e 20 rooms. Can I assume that if we bid in the same area MTW...the hotels will be relatively close. This number may come down as we may have to go with a tour operator for the school grp/teachers...the parents would be booking on their own, which is where Priceline and Hotwire will come into play. We're in the very preliminary stages of planning...so this is only "info gathering" at this point. Thanks for your help. AaronJB
Priceline does offer maps of the zones in NYC; hotels could possibly be anywhere within those zones. Prices may also vary if the party stays at multiple different hotels. I would recommend trying to book hotels close together if you do book via PRICELINE or HOTWIRE, as while prices may vary slightly, if different parts of the group book further apart, then you may get bigger differences in prices - down or up.
