queenbea18
Hi. Any help in identifying the following hotels would be much appreciated. We are travelling with small kids, so I'd like to know as best as possible what I'm signing up for. Option 1. 4 stars; $89/night; fitness center, restaurant, business center, internet access, spa; trip advisor rating of 3.5 Based on 560+ customer reviews (Last reviewed July 2009) Option 2. 3.5 stars; $86/night; fitness center, pool, business center, internet access, restaurant; trip advisor rating of 4.0 based on 40+ customer reviews (Last reviewed June 2009) Link to comment
queenbea18
Here's another. Same area, same dates. 4.5 stars, 159/night; restaurant, fitness, high speed internet, business center. Thanks. Link to comment
thereuare
Welcome to BetterBidding! So we can see these offerings, how many rooms/adults/children are you including in your HOTWIRE search? Given the 4* and 3.5* are nearly half the price, are you willing to spend $159/nite for a room this trip? Please use these PRICELINE and HOTWIRE links to begin your travel purchases. queenbea18
We have 2 adults and 1 child who fits within the HOTWIRE definition of children (ages 2+). I don't mind spending the 159 if the hotel is much nicer than the others. I think the prices on these have changed since yesterday, though it's pretty obvious that the hotels are still the same. AaronJB
The 4.5* would likely be the Intercontinental, while the 3.5* likely the Doubletree. Personally, I'd recommend the Doubletree, which is a nice property and more "family-friendly" than the Intercontinental. The Doubletree is a couple of blocks from the Intercontinental, so neither has a location advantage. There's a large grocery store across from the Doubletree for snacks or other necessities. Please use the site's HOTWIRE or PRICELINE links to start your purchase. Link to comment
queenbea18
I ended up booking a 3* which, while more money than the 4 star, was designated as having a pool and being a suite. I was pretty sure before I booked that it was the Hilton Homewood Suites (which seems to be well regarded) and I was right! Link to comment

AaronJB
Excellent win - this is one of the best of the "all-suite" properties; full-kitchens in the room, great location and very nice breakfast just off the "lodge-like" lobby. Link to comment
queenbea18
Yes. First, let me start be saying that I DID use the links on your site to get to HOTWIRE to make my purchase. Sorry I did not mention that. I paid 112 per night before taxes. The amenities listed for Homewood Suites were: Suite, Complimentary Breakfast, Fitness Center, Pool(s), Business Center, High-speed Internet Access, Kitchenette Link to comment
