HuntsvilleDave
Stayed at the crowne plaza in Knoxville 4-17 thru 4-19 for $70. Hotel was nice and in the middle of everything. Walking distance to good eateries. Price would be too high if you were paying for this in Atlanta, but the hotel selection in Knoxville is limited. My only real complaint (this is for a lot of hotels) Why bother put a flat panel digital tv in rooms if you are going to pipe in an analog signal. The picture looks like garbage. Multiple pillows with different firmness were a plus and I look for this in the nicer hotels. Link to comment
thereuare
Congratulations on your success and thank you for sharing your results with the board. It costs a lot of money to upgrade hotels, so capital improvements are usually done over time... first the TVs', then later will come the infrastructure for the digital signal. As well, there may be contracts with a tv provider (or the ads that run on them) which prevent them from upgrading until the contrct expires or it's time to renew. Please try to post your wins as you receive them so the information can benefit others in a timely manner. Please use these PRICELINE and HOTWIRE links to begin your travel purchases.Glad you enjoyed your stay.
