meaghank
I'm really trying to aviod the trump hotel, so i'm skipping the 5 star hotels. But the Monte Carlo is nice. Any suggestions on what I should bid... it looks like the Monte Carlo is the only 3.5 star hotel on the south strip so it would be very likely that i would get it. Or any other tips for that weekend... Hotwire is a bit pricey for something on the strip Link to comment
yellowdog
Welcome to BetterBidding :) By the latest reports to the board is the Monte Carlo the only 3.5* hotel. But there is a possibility to get an upgrade using PRICELINE. So you can also get any of the 4* hotels. Inc. The Westin that is slight of the strip. And star ratings can change at any time.YellowDog. SUPERJ
If I bid 4 star north and it comes back and says if you're willing to bid $110 we have a hotel for you does that mean 1) they have a 4 star for me or 2) they have a 4 'or' 5 star? Anything 4 and up?Monte Carlo has amazing promos now. I think you should just book it straight. Link to comment

TC Truong
SUPERJ,Please start a NEW TOPIC for your own trip and include the actual dates of your stay. Please use these PRICELINE and HOTWIRE links to begin your travel purchases. Thanks!I got the same response from Priceline after rejecting my lower bid for same date 5/1-5/3/09 for South Strip. Not sure what's going on that weekend but prices are certainly HIGH. I ended clicking the link on Priceline for $110 offer and got The Westin Casuarina Las Vegas Hotel, Casino & Spa. That's the last hotel I wanted because I was hoping to be further south since we have friends staying @ Luxor, MGM and Rio. Note The Westin will have a $15/day BS "resort fee"My gut tells me prices should go down as they can't fill up the vacancies but you never know about this town and what events or convetion they have going on.Good Luck!
