brian h
Hi,I want t stay in downtown lincoln nebraska on 5/1 and 5/2 2009. I bid on priceline $70 at 3.5* (rejected) and then $80 at 3* (also rejected). Any idea what hotwire might give me? I will probably try again at a higher rate once the time expires. Any other ideas?thanks, brian Link to comment
yellowdog
Welcome to BetterBidding :) The best thing you can do is to look at HOTWIRE in your preferd zone what hotels they offer within your budget. If you need help to ID any hotel so post all the amenties for the hotel and what zone the hotel is located in this thread. If you need help with a PRICELINE strategy. So please post your maximum for 3* vs 3.5* hotelsYellowDog. Link to comment

thereuare
The Cornhusker Marriott has previously been reported at the 3.5* level on PRICELINE so that is at least one possibility... there are others as well. Searching for Lincoln, NE at our companion site BackUpBooking.com will show all the hotels PRICELINE uses thru their "retail" division (which uses a different universe of hotels than the "name your own price" section of their site, but there is a lot of overlap, so it's a good start) also shows the Embassy Suites rated 3.5* (there coudl be others as well, i didn't look thru too many of them)Not sure of the 3* HOTWIRE property as this property has not yet been reported to the board... but something along the lines of the Country Inn and Suites, Holiday Inn Express, Comfort Suites, etc, seems likely. Please use these PRICELINE and HOTWIRE links to begin your travel purchases.Let us know what you decide to do or if we can be of further help.
