stpam
Hey guys getting married the weekend of 2/28/09 Me and the Mrs want to go for 3 days in Vegas. Either 03/4/-03/7 or 03/5-03/8. I know that we definitely want to go to Chris Angels Circqe show @ luxor and possibly Penn & Teller (not sure what hotel this is at). I def want to do a 5* if possible or a 4* if needed. prince range can be from 100-125 if its fora 5*. My dilemma is she does not want to stay at the luxor at or Bellagia. What would be a good hotel strategy through either priceline or hotewire for a good honeymoon hotel. We are driving in from LA. Also with all the specials going around is Priceline generally a better savings off the discounts or look for a good special from the hotel? Thanks! Link to comment
thereuare
Welcome to BetterBidding and congratlations on your upcoming nuptuals! If there are hotels in the zone you're trying to avoid than HOTWIRE will be a better option than PRICELINESearching your first set of dates a 5* hotel appears in the Center Strip zone at $125/nite (your price may differ slightly) with: Casino, Restaurant, Pool, Fitness, Business, Golf, Tennis, SpaThis is a match for the Wynn and that would be our best guess. HOWEVER, while the Bellagio has never been purchased thru the "opaque" side of HOTWIRE, it has been seen in the vaction packages product, and unforutnately for your situation has the same amenities as the above. If you did purchase the above and receied the Bellagio you'd be the first to report this as a 'win', so i'd consider it unlikely, but it is a chance you need to be aware of before your decide to purchase this or not.Searching for your second set of date a hotel with the same amenities as above appears, but this one also shows a Tripadvisor rating of 4.0/5.0 with 1520+ reviews... this second bid of information matches the Wynn, but not the Bellagio, so taking a cacluated risk you should be "safe" with this one... but it's priced a little higher at $134/nite.Please use these PRICELINE and HOTWIRE links to begin your travel purchases.Let us know what you decide and how it goes or if we can be of further help. thereuare
Congratulations on your success and thank you for sharing it with the board.Glad to see you received one of the hotels you wanted (and avoided the ones you didn't want)I don't know about deals for show tickets, but there is a discounted booth the strip (just south of Planet Hollywood, iirc) that sells tix for unsold same day shows... but not sure if the get the "hot" shows which may sell out on their own. Thanks for sharing your results with the board and using our HOTWIRE link to begin your purchase.Enjoy your stay and, again, congratulations on your upcoming wedding!
