NoviceBidder
Recently I have reviewed this site for bidding strategies before trying Priceline to book a room in NYC for 3 nights in January.I decided to start out with $125 in the Midtown East region and then go from there. Priceline accepted my first bid, and I too got Intercontinental The Barclay for $125 a night! It almost made me wonder if I bid too high, so reading this and other threads makes me feel better - it doesn't sound like I could do much better, and at any rate I can't complain about that rate for a 4-star hotel in the middle of Manhattan. Thanks betterbidding! AaronJB
Thank you for posting your win! :)I've heard very good things about the hotel, and $125 for the Barclay is an excellent deal. What are your dates of stay (so I can edit the thread title)? Link to comment

Mr_Conlin
That is a great rate, for a great hotel. The rooms are a bit small, but the beds are oh so comfortable. The location is great as well. I once stumbled upon a cuban bar near the Barclay Inter-Continental late one night, and don't remember getting back to the hotel. Link to comment
