jcm81
Looking for a 1 night stay 1/20-1/21 in a 4* hotel or resort in South Beach.Have been using the free re-bid zones to bid from 100-224 for a resort and from 95-140 for a 4*. All bids rejected.Bidding too early or are the going rates on Priceline this time of year beyond this range? Thanks. Link to comment
thereuare
What is the best rate you're able to find for an acceptable property for this nite?Would you have any interest in The Nationa for $175/nite?If you choose to wait you should have a look at Quickbook which has a lot of decent deals in South Beach, most of which are fully refundable up until a few days before your arrival date, so you can use that as a back-up reservation while you continue to try PRICELINE (or HOTWIRE)Please use these PRICELINE and HOTWIRE links to begin your travel purchases.Let us know regarding the above and we'll take it from there. jcm81
Purchased this from the HOTWIRE link here.I previously posted in the priceline forum for a South beach resort/4* for this date. Watched this 4.5* hotel drop from $409 to $145 in the downtown area, which appears to be a brand new property just opening last month. Room rates start at $400 on hotel website and the place looks wonderful. AaronJB
Thank you for using the site's HOTWIRE link - looks like an "epic" win for the Epic Hotel! :)This does look like a stunning property - it's a Kimpton, so hopefully you'll get the wine social hour here, as well.Enjoy your trip! :) Link to comment
gplank
Looking forward to hearing your thoughts on this property! We're thinking of going at the beginning of February for 3 nights. Link to comment
jcm81
Gorgeous property. We were initially brought to a room that wasn't cleaned, so to apologize for the embarasment they offered us a junior suite instead. 2 rooms with multiple plasma TVs, large balcony, huge bathroom (with its own separate balcony). Everything in the hotel is very new, exactly what you would expect from a hotel of this caliber. The pools were incredible, with views of downtown Miami and the water, cabanas, lounge chairs, etc. Also there was a 1 hour Kimpton wine social hour with some light snacks included. It's no where near South Beach or any beach for that matter, but if you want to stay downtown and are willing to put up with a property continuing to undergo some minor construction, this is probably one of the best deals in town.
