seningen
Is it still too early -- or is there something keeping rates fairly high.I would expect a fairly slow period similar to September -- but rates via PL and HW still seem to be high?Is the Food & Wine Festival that big a draw -- or is it still too earlyfor inventory to be placed on PL and HW.I'm looking for WDW 3* <$40, or WDW RESORT <$65. Oct 1 - 10.with possible splits of 10/1-10/2, 10/3-10/10 or 10/1-10/4, 10/5/-10/10Not looking for bidding strategies -- so much as gut feels for when to bid :-)thanks,M. Link to comment
dianev
The Food and Wine Festival IS big however it would probably affect the Boardwalk resorts at Disney more then other hotels. There are alot of conventions I have heard in October too.We are going 3 nights 10/11-14 and I am playing a waiting game hoping Disney will give out some good rates and if not do Priceline. thereuare
I'll also add that both of your bids are near the low end of the generally accepted range. Please use this HOTWIRE and these PRICELINE LINKS: HOTELS, CAR RENTALS, and AIRFARE to begin your travel purchases Link to comment

seningen
Well well well, after months of bidding -- some place finallybit for my WDW trip.Started at 60, used a rebid -- hit at 62.Wyndham Palace Resort And SpaNot my first choice -- but at $62 I'm pleased. $161/nt on WyndhamWebrate, $86/nt on Hotwire. My wife will be thrilled with the location. Not the best ofreviews -- but we will be at WDW the whole time.Still need to fill in my conference stay earlier in the week. But I can survive in lessor surroundings :-)cheers,Mike Link to comment
thereuare
Congratulations on your winning bid... i know you've been at this one for a bit. This is probably the most popular resort hotel to be won in this zone and generally people feel that they have gotten a good value (as indicated by the savings you note above).Enjoy your stay.
