Successful bidding strategy on Sept 13:

4* Quebec -- $70 - rejected

4* Quebec/Beauport - $75 - rejected

4* Quebec/Ste Foy - $80 -- accepted

$80/night + $35.45 taxes = $195.45 total for two nights.

Works out to about CAD$206, so a ~$47 dollar savings (overall) from booking direct.

Saw a 4* on Hotwire at $100 which then dropped to $85 so figured I could get cheaper on Priceline. Had previously tried Priceline at $68 and $75 and received counter offers on both. Bid $78 (on the $75 counter offer) and was rejected. Sorry I don't remember the requested amounts of the counters.
