mrsqueegy
I wanted to add as a note that this property charges a $15 resort fee. I was a bit unhappy with this because I was not bidding on a resort, nor did I want a resort. I complained to PRICELINE, but never even recieved a response. This was by no means a "vacation resort", only acceptable because my stay was to avoid a 2am drive accross Aligator Alley. ....Just wanted to forewarn anyone who wins this property. Link to comment
thereuare
Many hotels, even those that are not resorts, have resorted (pun intended :) ) to charging "resort" fees. It's unfortunate, but many hotels are doing this as a way to 'show' a low rate for those comparing prices and then increasing revenue once the guest arrives. My thought is that if it's a mandatory fee... it should be included in the hotel price. However, since this is the system the hotels have set-up, it's the one we have to play by, and when bidding on PRICELINE it is noted in the terms you agree to that you could potentially be charged additional fees (such as a resort fee) by the hotel.Other than this added expense, hope you enjoyed your stay.
