Nagilum
hi,i am looking for a nice 3* or 4* hotel on the strip for two nights from 05/15 to 05/17.any ideas?? thanks a lot! Link to comment
mrxow
Do you care where you stay, specifically? Are you looking for the best possible deal or are you willing to spend a little more to be somewhere nicer? The obvious plan would be to bid on Priceline for a 3 star on the strip. Or 4 star, which might only cost a little more. The people who run this board do know about some good deals you can book directly, if you want to be able to pick where you are going to stay. They might suggest something. If you don't mind giving up 2 hours of your time at some point of your trip, you could do the timeshare presentation thing. They put people up on the strip in 3 star accomodations or better. It looks like a Thursday/Friday stay under these circumstances would cost you effectively about 90 bucks... Just don't buy the timeshare... Link to comment
Nagilum
hi, could somebody help me with this bidding? for what price i could get it??thanks a lot !!! Link to comment
goblue97
You'll want to read the PRICELINE FAQ. Realize with Priceline you cannot bid on a specific hotel, only certain zones. Link to comment
Nagilum
hey man, i am not stupid. i used priceline many times...i asked about a good strategy... the palazzo is a very nice hotel to win too..... Link to comment
goblue97
I never called you stupid. But when you put "Venetian" in the subject line it reads as if you are trying to get that, and only that hotel. How much are you willing to spend? I've seen 5* hotels won from as low as $115 to $170. Also check the rates with the hotel directly. Link to comment

blindman
You may have a problem with this being a Friday night and you only want one night. What does HOTWIRE show for that date? Link to comment
Nagilum
hotwire shows no 5* hotel on this date... Link to comment
blindman
Therein maybe the answer...Try two or three days over that weekend with HOTWIRE to see if a 5* pops up. Link to comment
Nagilum
no 5* over the weekend at hotwire.. Link to comment
blindman
It could be too early to try for a weekend at present. If you have to be there for that Friday then I'd book a cancellable back up and try later (April?) and also keep a look out for other wins. Please remember the support links for HOTWIRE and PRICELINEGood luck Link to comment
