cybirg
I was wondering what my chances are to win a bid for these dates? Are hotels usually full in Vegas around July 4th? What price should I start with, $125 perhaps?I can cancel my current reservation at the Flamingo (Go-room for $180 a night) by June 30th. Link to comment
thereuare
What are the correct dates of your stay (please use the US format of mm/dd/yy)Are you willing to pay more for a 5* vs. a 4* or are you looking for the least expensive 4* or better hotel for your dates? Diamond Dog
07/16/08-07/23/08 (7 nights).Yes, willing to pay more for a 5*. But, realistically, more likely to get a decent 4*. Link to comment

Is that realistic? How is capacity around the 4th? Any suggestions on timing and bid strategy? Thanks a bunch :) Link to comment

cybirg
Thank you very much for your thorough answer. I read the guides so I know about the re-bid zones.I have one more question though, do you or anyone else know anything about the capacity in Vegas around July 4th? Are all hotels along the strip usually full? Would timing be best a month before or a week before my stay? Link to comment
