thereuare
Welcome to BetterBidding! The 3* in the LBV zone has not yet been identified. However, i feel 'pretty good' (no guarantees) that it may very well be the Country Inn and Suites, so that would be our best guess. A distant second guess would be the Residence Inn, but i think the Country Inn and Suites is more likely. The 3* in the Maingate-Champions Gate zone is a match for the Holiday Inn Maingate East so that would be our best guess for that one. The 2.5* has not yet been identified, but i wouldn't expect much (maybe a Days Inn or Ramada type of property). Please use this HOTWIRE link to begin any purchases you make.Let us know how it goes or if we can be of further help. rayleen522
I know that you are providing your best guess for the 3* in the LBV zone (Country Inn and Suites). Prior to posting here, I was trying to do my own "research" to determine the hotel. When you click continue on hotwire.com, it shows that the actual price for the room is $128.89. I went to Expedia.com to find if there were any rooms with this exact price, and Regal Sun Resort (formerly the Grosvenor) was the exact avg. price per night. It has a restaurant, where hotwire.com does not mention one and Expedia lists it as 3.5* instead of 3*.After looking at photos of this hotel and reading reviews, I really do not want to stay there. I know you can't guarantee, but do you have any idea if this might be the hotel instead of Country Inn and Suites?Again, thank you for your time! Link to comment
tilepusher
The retail prices listed are not always accurate. And when they are accurate, they may have come from a different source than where you looked. So you always have to be wary about using the retail price when trying to identify a hotel on Hotwire.A hotel selling through HOTWIRE must have the amenities that are advertised; the Regal Sun Resort does not offer complementary breakfast, so there's no chance that this is the 3* in the LBV zone. Also, the Regal Sun Resort appears on Hotwire's vacation packages with a very different set of amenities (Fitness Center, Pool(s), Restaurant(s), Business Center, Laundry Facilities, High-speed Internet Access, Tennis Nearby, Children's Activity Program). It should be noted on the hotel list that this place shows up on the VP as a 3* again.I came across the same 3* LBV listing during my own searches, and my guess at the time was also the Country Inn and Suites. thereuare
...on HOTWIRE, it shows that the actual price for the room is $128.89. I went to Expedia.com to find if there were any rooms with this exact price...Don't use the retail prices to ID hotels. They can be right, but they can also be wrong... sometimes HOTWIRE just uses the price of a hotel of that star quality in the zone and not the actual hotel you'll be receiving. rayleen522
Hi all. I just wanted to let you know that I finally booked my trip to Orlando. I chose the 3* in the LBV zone. It ended up being a little higher than the original quote of $66. It was now $69. However, you were correct in your guess. It is the Country Inn and Suites. I am pleased with this. I also wanted to let you know that I booked through your HOTWIRE link.Thank you so much! Link to comment
