Sunflower_77
I'd like to stay for 1 night this weekend in New York City (8/25-8/26) using Priceline. I tried many times but I always rejected by Priceline. I wanted 3 or 2 and half star hotel around $100 in midtown areas. Is $100 too low? Would you give me some advices on how to win the bitting? AaronJB
Have you tried bidding for 4* hotels for $100? Despite the higher star rating, a 4* may still accept, given that prices do not seem extremely high for these dates. The 3*'s just may not have Priceline inventory or do not have inventory at the price you bid, but a 4* may. Worth a try. Link to comment
thereuare
While we occasionally see sub-$100 wins in NYC, this is more the exception than the rule, and i don't think that it will be enough for these dates. What is your maximum bid for this stay? Which zone(s) are you willing to bid?As a side note, we generally don't really recommend bidding less then 3* in NYC. Sunflower_77
Hi!Thank you for your replies! Probably the maximum bid would be $120... Any areas except Soho area would be good because I'd like to go see a Broadway show and MET. Soho seems a little far to stay. Should I put more than $100 to bid? Thanks again. Link to comment
thereuare
At the 3* level you have one re-bid zone available. If you're not familiar with re-bidding please read Priceline Re-Bidding Explained and feel free to ask questions and/or confirm your re-bid zones with the board before proceeding.Select 3* UM/CPS and MTS...Bid $90, if rejected add re-bid zone...Bid $95, if rejected close browser and re-access priceline however you did previously.Select 3* MTW and MTE and UES...Bid $90, if rejected add re-bid zone...Bid $95, if rejected close browser and re-access priceline however you did previously.Select 3* UM/CPS and MTW...Bid $100, if rejected add re-bid zone...Bid $105, if rejected close browser and re-access priceline however you did previously.Select 3* MTE and MTS and UES...Bid $100, if rejected add re-bid zone...Bid $105, if rejected close browser and re-access priceline however you did previously.Select 3* UM/CPS and MTE...Bid $110, if rejected add re-bid zone...Bid $115, if rejected close browser and re-access priceline however you did previously.Select 3* MTW and MTS and UES...Bid $110, if rejected add re-bid zone...Bid $115, if rejected close browser and re-access priceline however you did previously.Select 3* MTE and MTW and MTS and UM/CPS and UES...Bid $118, if rejected add re-bid zone...Bid $120.Any questions feel free to ask.Good Luck and let us konw how it goes.
