Peterpack
My trip is only next March. Interesting i have been already able to secure a great great deal for a 4 star London hotel for March using Priceline but are having no luck with New YorkIs it just way too early ?How much before is generally the sweetspot ? 1-2 months ? 2-3 weeks ? Will
I don't think there really is a sweet spot that could be applied to all hotel bidding, bidding very early is fine as far as I'm concerned just research what people have paid in March the last few years and cap your bids at that amount. So if people have paid around $120 for rooms in March, don't bid any higher than that amount when bidding early as you maybe over paying. Once the date gets closer, than you may have to raise the amount your willing to pay but I always would keep very early bidding conservative. I would also research rack rates and determine what kind of a deal you would need to make priceline worth while. Link to comment
