Preppyg
I did a search on Hotwire for Bev Hills and Hollywood for Oct.21-24(2007) and came up with only one 4 star hotel in Bev hills/Century City/ Westwood for $239/night. I'm thinking it's either the Hyatt Century Plaza or the Intercontinental (formerly the Park Hyatt). The codes are: fitness, pool, restaurant, business, internet, golf nearby. Can someone please shed some light on this ... thank you. Or is it too early to search for October? Link to comment
thereuare
Is something going on for these dates? The Hyatt is selling for $279/nite on their website and the Inter-Continental is available for $261/nite... compare this to the HOTWIRE rate above and after the hotwire fee you're looking at only about a $20/savings per nite, which i don't think is enough of a savings to lock in a non-refundable rate this far before your check-in date. Preppyg
Thank you for your opinion - I was thinking the same thing. I actually called a travel agent here in Toronto who told me he could get the Hyatt Regency for $245 which I'll probably grab. I'm not sure if something is going on those nights. Maybe I'll keep checking closer to Sept/Oct.Do you know which hotel was on HOTWIRE at the $20 savings? InterContinental or Hyatt Regency?Thank you ... Link to comment
thereuare
I didn't look as i didn't think it was a legitimate possibility.Would you want to lock in a $200+ non-refundable rate at either of those? You can do better than that travel agents offer... you can book the Sheraton Centre for $188/nite (almost $70/nite less than the Hyatt) and it's cancellable up until 24 hours before your check-in. Preppyg
Thanks for the info. I went to the link and did a search and it comes up with a hotel but not the name - just curious to know how you found out it was a 'sheraton'?Anyway, at this point I'm going to wait it out in the hopes that the prices will come down or maybe they'll have a special. I'm not too comfortable locking in a rate this many months in advance but will keep my eye on this board.Any other tips would be appricated or I'll message you when it gets closer. Thanks! thereuare
I used our EasyClickTravel Reverse Look-up ToolBooking the Sheraton thru EasyClickTravel is cancellable, so i would book that that as a back-up as you have nothing to lose. If you rates go down or you have success with the opaque providers you cancel your back-up; if rates go up you've locked in your rate before it went up. Preppyg
I'm not familiar with the easy click travel reverse look up tool - is there a way that i can use that or is it limited to some people? Link to comment
