Fokus17
Hello, I am going to Savannah for a conference in a few weeks. We thought we might all try priceline to see if we could get a nicer hotel for a good price. We are interested in Savannah GA historic district 5/3-5/5. We would like to spend less than $100. Is this a reality? Please help us with a strategy.ThanksFokus17 Link to comment
thereuare
At the 3* level you have four re-bid zones available. If you're not familiar with re-bidding please read Priceline Re-Bidding Explained and feel free to ask questions and/or confirm your re-bid zones with the board before proceeding.Select 3* Historic...Bid $65, if rejected add re-bid zone1...Bid $70, if rejected add re-bid zone2...Bid $75, if rejected add re-bid zone3...Bid $80, if rejected close browser and re-access priceline however you did previously.Select 3* Historic and re-bid zone4...Bid $85, if rejected add re-bid zone1...Bid $90, if rejected add re-bid zone2...Bid $95, if rejected add re-bid zone3...Bid $100If the above fails and you're a bit flexible in your budget, HOTWIRE has a 3.5* property for $129... you could either take that or adjust your bidding above to go up to $125.Any questions feel free to ask.Good Luck and let us know how it goes. Please use this HOTWIRE and these PRICELINE LINKS: HOTELS, CAR RENTALS, and AIRFARE to begin your travel purchases Link to comment
Fokus17
I entered priceline through the link at savingsbarn.com and started the above strategy. I bid up to $80 and was rejected. I closed the browser and as I am typing this i realized i did not enter again through savingsbarn, but through priceline directly. But my next bid of $85 was accepted for two rooms at the 3* Hyatt Regency Historic District. The rate on the hotel website is $294. This is an awesome deal. Thanks for all of your help.
