Clementyne
I am looking to pick up 2 rooms at a 3* hotel near the Mall of America for Spring Break and was rejected at $40 yesterday. I am looking for 3/28-3/31. Does anyone know if there are any rebid zones that I could add? Or should I consider a 2 1/2*? I just really wanted to get a pool for the kids and I'm not sure all 2 1/2* places have one.Any help would be appreciated!Clem Link to comment
Jason Trumble
You can find this for yourself easily by clicking on the areas when using priceline. It will grey out the areas that do not have 3*'s available. Some that I used just recently are Fridley, Burnsville and St. Paul Northeast. See my last post on my winning bid of Hyatt $47 downtown. It sounds like the Holiday Inn Select by MOA is a common 3* winner, but I was NOT able to get it at $45 for the dates of 4-1 through 4-5. FWIW, I did notice that the Holiday Inn Bloomington (which is on 35W south of 494 a couple of miles) was going for around $42 on HOTWIRE for most of the dates I checked. This might be a good option for you. It does also have the Green Mill restaurant attached, which is decent and stays open pretty late with a bar if you want to get away from the kids for a while :) It is, however, a few miles away. thereuare
Re-bidding is explained in this thread: Priceline Re-Bidding ExplainedWe strongly encourage users to know and understand how to check their re-bid zones themselves since this should be done before each round of bidding. New hotels are added all the time, and existing hotels are upgraded/downgraded, so if you dont' want to end up in an area you didnt' intend, you need to be able to check your re-bid zones. You do have four re-bid zones available when bidding 3* in Minneapolis. Please read the above link and ask any questions that you have or anything that you don't understand... we'll explain to you whatever obstacle you can't get over. Once you understand how to determine your re-bid zones, feel free to have the board confirm them for you. Clementyne
I understand re-bid zones. I was just wondering if anyone knew if there were any adjacent zones without 3* that I could add to essentially bid the same zone again.I just upped my bid to $42 for a 3* and got rejected again. I will keep trying.Clem Link to comment
