Blackmagic
In the Jacksonville Beach - Mayo Clinic zone I bid $38, $40, $42 and was finally accepted at a bid of $46.Three nights at $46 - $138.00 plus $26.91 taxes and fees - total $164.91.This hotel is very isolated being the only hotel located on the Mayo Clinic Campus. There is virtually no traffic in the area and most guests are probably associated with the Mayo Clinic. The grounds are park like. The hotel is located near the Jacksonville beaches and area shopping. This is the best Courtyard I have stayed at - and I'd be very happy to get it again. There is only one free re-bid at the 2.5* level so I took a chance by using Amelia Island and Downtown for re-bids. Downtown has 1, 2 and 3 *-s but no 2.5* and I was pretty sure I wouldn't get a 3* Downtown at these prices. Amelia Island has a 2.5*, but I thought it might be more expensive - and I wouldn't mind staying on the island if they would have accepted my price!Priceline has changed the name of this zone to "Jacksonville Beach - Mayo Clinic".I started the trip at the SavingsBarn.com!
