NYCFan
First time using priceline, we tried booking on Thursday night for a Saturday night stay - unsuccessful bidding at $150. Waited until Friday evening after 8pm and were successful with our $150 bid. With taxes it ended up being $182.64 for a one night Saturday night stay (10-14-06). We'd selected all areas apart from the upper east/west side. Although times square area isn't our first choice this worked out well for us, it's central and the hotel was excellent. The room was larger than most in NYC and up to Hilton standards. We were very happy with our first priceline experience, now wondering whether to try the same routine for two nights Thanksgiving weekend - probably will need a higher bid but we can start lower. witless
NYCFan,Was that 8pm NY time, or your own time zone, that you were successful on the Friday? I'm asking as I'm trying to bid for Sat 10/28 and backup reservation can be cancelled up to 4pm Friday, NY time. Thanks :) Link to comment
NYCFan
Sorry, I know this is way overdue but since it may help others - it was after 8pm EST (NYC time zone) Friday night that we placed our bid for our Saturday night stay. Link to comment
