ozgirl
Hi,I'm trying to plan a holiday for my family over Christmas. Am I completely off the radar if I try to get something via priceline for the 21st to 28th Dec? Where else can I book hotels at a reasonable rate? Please help....Thanks. Link to comment
thereuare
Which zone(s) are you willing to accept? What is your budget and what do you consider "reasonable"? AEmgee
Using HOTWIRE as a guide, you should be able to bid for 4* Waikiki North on Priceline and get the Hawaii Prince for about $150ish. See my recent bid here.I'm not sure if this is suitable for your family though - it's about 20 minutes walk from Waikiki and is more of a business hotel. However, it is close to the Ala Moana Shopping Center. Also not sure if this is "reasonable" to you - it's $189 + 11.42% tax = $210.58 via the hotel directly. The average hotel room rate on Oahu is $165. Link to comment
ozgirl
Hi,Thereuare, I'd like to stay either in the Waikiki North or Waikik South zones but Ihilani is also on the list. And I'd say around $125 to $140 per room is reasonable. AEmgee - I followed your links and it sounds like the Reef seems to get the thumbs down overall. Hopefully youll enjoy your stay at the Hawaii Prince. But it does sound pricey...Having said all this, I've now been told that the flights I was looking at yesterday have closed. I really don't understand how that works... Oh well...I'll just tell myself "there's no place like home" :)Thanks. Link to comment
thereuare
So is this trip now on hold/cancelled? Did you purchase airfare yesterday and/or are alternate tickets at the same price available?
