  1. Used Hotwire Coupon CyberSale for 11% off Free Internet, Pet friendly, Smoke-free rooms, Fitness center, Restaurant(s), Business center, Internet access
  2. 1/18 - 1/20, Manhattan, want near CP, but not mandatory. Seeing a lot of places charging 25-40 per night. Some more. I called a few properties and basically figured out its all over the board. I'll keep digging. I wish I could bid! :( EDIT - Maybe I can bid! Just noticed some star levels guarantee minimum accommodations, some of which are animals. I guess the only thing I am gambling with is the pet charge at whatever hotel I get...
  3. Did a search and it appears a lot of the pet friendly questions are dated. Here is my question. If I book a HOTWIRE hot rate or PRICELINE EXPRESS deal for a property that is listed as "pet friendly", are there incidental charges when I arrive? Does it depend on the hotel?
  4. Was looking for anything 5* in North or South Strip. (except North Vicinity, which I assumed was the Trump) 5* Strip North $100 - rejected added zone: 5* Strip South $105 - rejected rebid zone: Boulder $110 - rejected Fremont $115 - rejected Henderson $120 - winner. Very happy as it was the property I was most hoping for. Best non bidding deal I seen for this night was $199, ~40% savings! Thanks as usual for the tools on this site. This was my first time using it for anything outside of Manhattan. Just as successful!
  5. I used a similar priceline bidding strategy for the Roosevelt, for the following weekend. I did add other re-bid zones WITH 4* hotels because I was flexible with areas. Paid $155. Rapid transit and walking to the Time Square area never takes that much time from any of the areas in midtown. MTE MTW ESB CPS
  6. First time getting the Roosevelt for NYC. Always curious to try something new. A little worried about some of the reviews I've read. Rude Staff, old bathrooms, etc.. I'll be the judge. :D
  7. I've done better on priceline, but $109+taxes/fees is not bad for this nicely located property. :D
  8. Thanks for all the help. I was able to get a room in Manhattan through a friend for $159/night. 3* per this site, not bad! Good luck all.
  9. I have tried every zone with a 4* in Manhattan, up to $175. I have tried many 3-3.5* zones up to $140.
  10. Yes, daily. :) (sorry, originally responded to your question "have you bid this past week"
  11. I'm in a similar boat. Plan on going May 3-6. I haven't gone as high as $215, so I am a little more discouraged! I might lower my star rating soon. . .
  12. Thanks for the guidance. Still trying daily. What do you think about waiting until the week of my trip?
  13. If Saturday's are cheaper, wouldn't I be better off trying to split it so that the Saturday is the single night?
  14. I really don't need specific bidding strategy help, I need to know if its beneficial to split it thurs-fri and then do the Saturday solo...
  15. The Saturday? Really? A little surprised. I'm open to anything in Manhattan with a 4*. I'm pretty sure I have tried every zone.
  16. Hello, Pretty experienced priceliner with past success. One nighters and weeklong bids have treated me well. This is my first try at a 3 night stay. Checking in on a Thursday, out on a Sunday. I have bid all over Manhattan using several different areas/rebid zones/etc. Have only done 4* and have gone up to ~$160. My main question is about doing a split. Am I more likely to get a better deal for a one night stay on the Thurs, Fri, or Sat? I'm assuming Thursday... Any other guidance would be appreciated!
  17. Any results to report? Curious as I am going to start looking for May 3-6.
  18. 4* ESB - $70 Rejected 4* ESB(re-bid zone 1) - $79 Rejected, but given instant offer of $99 4* ESB(re-bid zone 2) - $89 Bingo! Affinia Dumont, very nice suite with full living room, bedroom, bathroom, and kitchen. Used the PRICELINE links from this site, thanks again.
  19. OK, went to $170, and won the ESB 4* Bryant Park Hotel for all 7 nights! Very happy. :)
  20. Noticed someone won the 4* Kitano for 160 on all my days. I woulda took that! bah!
  21. I've only done 4 star, tonight. Both times were rebids with ESB the only one picked that actually had a 4*. 150 bid, asked me to go to 190 (went back and rebid 160) 160 bid, asked me to go to 200 (closed the browser)
