  1. Dang, I missed using your 5% off link! Over the weekend I saw $183 for a 3.5, then it disappeared. Last night I was on two computers at home (work and home PCs), each showed $183. But in the time it took me to check your Hotel list and see what matched amenities, when I went back and said "book it", Prlceline told me "inventory has changed, this deal is no longer available". I checked this morning and there was nothing close to $183 for a 3.5 star. I checked this evening and saw $186 for a 3.5 star and said to myself "Grab it, quick!" I did take the time to come back to Betterbidding and use your link. But I missed the banner up top about the 5% discount. Any way to get a credit from that, for a future booking? any way to get a credit with Pricline on this booking? Us budget travelers - we have to ask! Else how would we get deals?? :)
  2. We had a backup plan at $207 which was the Holiday Inn across the highway. We have stayed at HI before, and also at the Best Western next to it. We love the bagel store nearby (The Bagel Place) and the short, easy drive to downtown, so we're very pleased with the location and happy to check out a new property. Thanks to the good info from Better Bidding I was 98% sure we would get the Sheraton. Still had to tell hubby "who knows!?!! you good with anything?" and he's such a nice, agreeable guy (and less picky about Star levels), he said YES! Happy for this "win"! amenities: internet, parking, shuttle, fitness,non-smoking, restaurant, swimming, pets
  3. Wildberry Cafe looks great, thanks for the tip! Would you know of any venues for early evening live music in the Millennium Park area or nearby?
  4. I did use the link at the top of the page, for PRICELINE EXPRESS. And will use your site/link again next time!
  5. Yesterday's Express Deal for Millennium was $105. I bid $80 and was rejected, with suggestion to bid again at $115. Didn't. Looked again today and Express Deal was $82 so I took it ($102.97 with taxes). Based on the amenities on your Hotel List, i thought it would be this hotel and it was. Listed this time were: Free Internet, Business Center, Non-smoking, and Fitness Center. Thanks for the assist, I love being informed when bidding/buying!
  6. Started at $140, incremented by fives, accepted at $185. Hotel Deluxe was offered at $192 after the first bid. There was also a Priceline Express deal at $192 in this zone, so I believe it must be Hotel Deluxe.
  7. only others listed are the Accessibility ones •Accessible for visually impaired •Accessible for hearing impaired •Accessible path of travel •In-room accessibility •Accessible bathroom •Accessible parking •Roll-in shower
  8. Downtown - Convention Center, Capitol Hill, Retail District area Hot Rate Pet Friendly, Smoke Free, Fitness Center, Restaurant, Business Center, Self Laundry, Internet Access
  9. Thanks for the great suggestions. Is Flat Top Grill one of the Lettuce Entertain You restaurants? We tried a couple of those when here a couple of years ago, and did enjoy them - as you say, not stellar but definitely good food and good value. Had a drink at the Berghoff at the end of a "happy hour" (5pm) Architecture Tour that trip, too. And ate there mabye 10-15 years ago - before it closed and reopened. The rest you mentioned are new to me, so I will definitely keep them in mind, thanks! We enjoyed Lincoln Park Zoo last time here, and Second City, so I guess I was in Old Town but all I recall is SC. Or is that where Anne Sather was? (and we went to Navy Pier - walked through and left - I agree with you on that one!) One option for this time is hot Tix. Since the area isn't busy at night, maybe sitting in a theatre is the thing to do. Looking foward to it - but I'm sure it will go by much too quickly! Again, thanks for the tips. :)
  10. So happy to see the location, as Millenium Park (Bean! Fountains!) and Art Institute are my two must-visits! Any suggestions for off-the-beaten-track things to see/do/dine at in the area?
  11. First bid 4/26, starting with Loop at $50 and adding free zones up to $75. No takers. 4/27, same strategy but starting at $55. Accepted at $70 by Palmer House Hilton. Used PRICELINE link on this page.
