  5. Well, I'd like to spend no more than $150/night if possible. Now if it were the Halekulani, then I'd be willing to go up to $250 (though seems that's impossible to get at that price). And yes, will always use the links. I find this site invaluable.
  6. Looking to stay in Waikiki Beach for 9 nights 2/18-2/27. Have never tried Hotwire or Priceline for Hawaii, but really have a strong preference for one of the Outriggers, Moana, or the Sheraton (my ideal). Friends are staying at the Halekalani so would be prefer to be close to them. Do folks have advice on how I should approach this either on PRICELINE or HOTWIRE? Thanks, Larry
  7. Do you know if I get a room through Hotwire, whether they will give me two beds? Need two.

  11. Used rebids to go from $70 all the way to $110, sticking with 4* only. Wanted to stay in DC only so did not bid in Arlington or Alexandria. Haven't stayed at this hotel or a Loews at all. Should be interesting.

  13. Darn it. Looks like those rooms are now gone. Maybe they'll come back.

  16. Well, my ticket for the game has fallen through. Thanks for you help. I'm encouraging my brother to book the HoJo through your link.
  17. The Howard Johnson looks like a mighty good deal given the hotel situation in Miami right now. I have to check with my brother. I have no problem simplifying the process to save some time.
  18. I don't have a preference. At this point, the nicest room in any area is fine. I'm going to have to drive no matter what. Obviously, preferred is anywhere in Miami first. Less interest in Deerfield Beach, N. Ft Lauderdale.
  19. Well, the Sun Tower seems reasonable compared to other options I'm seeing. I would like to try Priceline in Miami or Ft. Lauderdale and would like to try to get a 3 star or higher up to $250 in Miami and <$176 (the Sun Tower price) for Ft. Lauderdale. As far as areas, I don't know either city at all, though I guess on the beach is preferred. Thanks!
  20. Sorry for late reply. I ended up having my hotel connection come through in the end.
  21. Hi everyone, I'm almost in panic mode. I just found out I get to go to the Super Bowl, but the hotel prices in Miami are outrageous. I was thinking of going Priceline/Hotwire route or maybe trying Fort Lauderdale. Is there a strategy folks would suggest? Also, Hotwire has a 2.5 star hotel for $179/night. Any idea what hotel this is? I'd like to stay under $200/night if possible. 2.5-star hotel in Fort Lauderdale Beach Area Beachfront Pool(s) Restaurant(s) Business Center
