  1. I can attest I did this place also for $42 on a Friday night 11/12/10 - Sat, 11/13/10 nice indeed. Tax recovery charges & fees: $11.38
  2. Ha yes. Except I will only have me in the room as opposed to 4 hah. Seriously though, I don't know why people are mostly looking for 4 and 5* hotels mostly on here.. It's harder to find out the ones we need.. But some good resources and guesses tho.. I'm still holding out for at least a 3* from Priceline though. Just hoping they don't raise the prices on the rooms for bids... When you said 2 nights at $100 I thought you meant $50/nt ha. I totally thought that because you said saving $20 per night making it a $30/nt on a Hotwire bid. I guess you meant split 4 ways at $100... makes sense now. Wait, do you mean requirements when you say qualifications or do you mean same qualified knowledge. I agree either way.
  3. I don't remember which of the 5 I picked for the $75 3* rejected bid but if I were to guess I think I only selected Near Las Vegas Strip East. :/ Las Vegas Airport (LAS) Las Vegas Convention Center Las Vegas Strip Vicinity North - Condo Las Vegas Strip Vicinity South Near Las Vegas Strip East Obviously I'm trying to avoid Stratosphere and Riviera. Because I don't want to risk getting a really old room by chancing getting a Strat room even though I hear they are renovated some, now.
  4. CC Yeah will do, I'm having the most difficult time trying to bid on Priceline as you can see here: http://www.betterbidding.com/index.php?showtopic=130865 So hopefully something will come through. Don't know what I'm doing wrong really. My prices I posted seemed reasonable...
  5. I wonder also if it could be the La Quinta Inn Convention Center: http://www.betterbidding.com/index.php?showtopic=9083 as I'm getting a bit antsy and wonder if I should ask if I could try to get that $50 rate at Bally's somehow. Offer code perhaps?
  6. Dates of search are 4/28 to 5/1 (flexibility is semi-flex because I need to be in Vegas the 29th and presumably it would be a lot better to get a good night's rest on the 28 rather than drive in and go to work right away. Probably will be tired after work to do check in and will want the room ready at the time on that date. (Boulder is too far btw) (Farthest I'd go is the 'I' area on Hotwire) / Las Vegas Strip Vicinity South I don't need a shuttle/casino/pool/gym/suite just something not too cramped, somewhat okay (I'd settle for even a Best Western/La Quinta/Holiday Inn if it was in town.) But no Howard Johnson, Super 8, Motel 6, Days Inn kind of place and never those seedy ones in North Las Vegas Not a fan of Downtown either. Parking is a pain and I would only stay on the Freemont hotels, all the others seem really gross from the outside.. (But I ---don't--- want the 2* Super 8 at $41 (Near Strip East) nor the 2* Days Inn at $35 (presumed guess) (Near Strip West) and I'm not feeling good about the Microtel 2* Suite for $40 (Near Strip South) (small and cramped even for a suite.) (want something a little nicer.) (or if not nicer at least a little more in town) Rejected bids: 3* hotel bids------------------------ $75 (actually a $62 bid because I have a gift cert of 13.33/nt) (would never bid the much normally) 3.5* hotel bids------------------------ $34 Las Vegas Strip Vicinity South $39 Las Vegas Airport (LAS) Las Vegas Convention Center Las Vegas Strip Vicinity North - Condo Las Vegas Strip Vicinity South Near Las Vegas Strip East $43 Las Vegas Airport (LAS) Las Vegas Convention Center Las Vegas Strip Vicinity North - Condo Las Vegas Strip Vicinity South Near Las Vegas Strip East $51 Las Vegas Strip Vicinity North - Condo Las Vegas Strip Vicinity South Near Las Vegas Strip East $52 Not willing to spend more than this per night as I see a $47 per night at Hotwire for 2.5* Las Vegas Airport (LAS) Las Vegas Convention Center Las Vegas Strip Vicinity North - Condo Las Vegas Strip Vicinity South Near Las Vegas Strip East $75 Near Las Vegas Strip East (last resort bid because I have a $40 gift certificate from Groupon taking off 13.33/nt) so it was actually a $62 bid, something I was going to get anyway at HOTWIRE. 4* hotel bids------------------------ (just for sheets and giggles.) $65 (I would never pay this much usually for a lower rated hotel, but at 4 stars I was willing to gamble this much) Las Vegas Airport (LAS) Las Vegas Convention Center Las Vegas Strip Vicinity North - Condo Las Vegas Strip Vicinity South Near Las Vegas Strip East
  7. Could this possibly be Terribles'? or Best Western Mardi Gras East? Would it be a huge service if I just bid for the room, via the PRICELINE link, just to know the name of it? I have a business trip this weekend 4/28-5/1 and I have to get a room anyway. But I'd rather go Hotwire because I know I can get a cheaper room and know what some of the hotels are.. Plus even after reading the how to bid link and looking at places for star ratings and adding zones, it's still pretty hard considering almost every zone has a 3* or a 2.5* property. My price range desired is about $50/nt before taxes. I remember getting $42 on HOTWIRE back in November before I found this, but I don't know if the Star rating or Amenities have changed since then so if I were to report it I don't want it to be wrong for others.
