First bid accepted for Las Vegas (South Strip) for $50. Staying one night, Sun, 3/20/2011. Ended up with the Monte Carlo. Checked prices on the MC website and they were starting at $66/nt.

We just used Hotwire to book a 3.5* hotel in North Scottsdale for $59 + $13.16(fees)= $72.16. The hotel is the Millenium Resorts Scottsdale McCormick Ranch.

There are no 3.5*'s listed in the guide on this website, so this appears to be new.

The hotel features were Restaurant, Pool, Fitness Center, Golf Nearby, Tennis Nearby

Resort website listed a AAA rate of $109

I just used PL for a 4* in Downtown Seattle for 11/5-11/9. Won the Westin for $110. Westin website said cheapest rate of $194 for those dates.

My bidding sequence was 4* Downtown - $100 ... Rejected. (PL gave the option to increase $22 and bid again; I passed)

Then added the Seattle airport area (no 4*'s) and increased to $110 and won.

I bid 4* Houston IAH Airport for $50... rejected. Added Conroe (no 4*'s) and increased bid to $55, but still rejected. Then added The Woodlands (no 4*'s) and increased bid to $60.

Won the Sofitel Houston for $60/nt. With taxes 4 nights came to $290.51

Booked the 3* Radisson Downtown Kansas City-Crown Center (formerly Doubletree) about 45 minutes before check-in. $52, 27th floor, nice rooms. We didn't really use any of the other features like bar, restaurant, etc... just the beds.

I've read some other reviews that said the hotel had problems with staff, but I had no trouble with them. Very friendly.

Also, I think this hotel may have previously been listed as a 3.5*.

If you are going to the KC Royals baseball game, the "Royals Express" shuttle with pick up and drop off 1 block away, in front of the Marriott. $5 for the round trip. Plus, when you board the bus, you get a coupon for $5 off your game ticket. The bus fare comes out as free. Taxi would have been about $20-25 each way.

This was a second bid. We bid the same areas for $50 three days earlier with no success. Up'd the price $5 and won.

I just bid a resort in Scottsdale and/or Phoenix North for July 2-5, 2005 for $55. We got the Scottsdale Plaze resort.
